Excellent Service

Booked my 2016 Smart in for a service and to replace the driver’s door seal. Andrew was very thorough with fantastic attention to detail. On top of the usual service, he also spotted a worn belt, removed the wheels and cleaned up the brake drums and cleaned/undersealed the underneath. Fantastic service!
Excellent communication and the use of a courtesy car were added bonuses. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Smart Automotive ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Reviews were right.

We purchased our fresh Smart Car 453 in December so service and MOT required now. Looked for Smart Car Specialists and came across 'Smart Automotive' St Columb. After dillying about the distance and speaking to Ann, we booked the car in. They gave the car a real good going over, wax oiled the underneath of the car, painted the the drum brake housings and returned the car fully serviced, MOT'd, and going much better than on the journey down there. Altogether a really good experience, Andrew is the 'Smart Man'. Thank you.

Great service and competitive price

My wife has always liked Smart cars but they were always out of our price range, luckily we were able to find one as a trade sale so no warranty, not knowing the history of the vehicle we contacted Andrew and booked it in for a full service and check over, we dropped it to him on the Monday and said he could have it all week, asking to be informed of anything he found and to give us an estimate etc, mid-week he rang to say it was ready and what he had found wrong, expecting the worse we had been saving just in case there would be a large bill as it happened what he found was minor and he was able to fix it that week, we picked it up on Saturday and it's as if it's a different car, drives really well, a lot quieter, smoother, first class service and affordable I can't recommend him highly enough , we will be returning next year when it's service is due again

Genuine Grease Monkey

My contrasting job is as a Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank driver with the Royal Wessex Yeomanry, I service & maintain two Rolls Royce engine's within this beast of protector.. yet I cannot do more than change my wheels & fill my levels on my Roadster!
Andrew (& his wife) have dug me out of many a situation with 'Minime" (my cars Nickname) his knowledge on Smart Cars is outstanding, his service is spot on & nothing at all & I mean nothing is too much of a challenge for him & his wife to sort out. Without doubt or hesitation I recommend this garage for all things SMART.. Thank you very much indeed for everything you have done over the last few years & keeping my car alive in his 17th year.

Smart, "Man".

We have been using Smart Automotive for over 10 years after the AA attended a break down and our car was taken to Smart Automotive. Well what a find he was and we have never looked back. On a score of 1 to 10 I would honestly give Andrew a 12 and I never give a score like that to any one.
I have never given him a testimonial in the past, when I really should have done as this man deserves all the credit in the world for what he knows or rather for what he dosen`t know. He has spent many a hour on our car that no other garage could find fault. I would as to have it as a guess that he knows far more than even the main dealer of a Smart garage.
If Smart have a course to go on with reference to fault finding or any thing new relating to Smart he is there.
So thank you Andrew sorry it has taken me so long to do this but boy do you deserve it and you will be sorely missed when you leave to venture to new climes. Thank you.

Great Service

We bought our second hand SMART car from a careful owner in Bristol last July and had it serviced by SMART AUTOMOTIVE after we had driven it back to Falmouth. The Service that was carried out was very thorough and our little car has been so reliable and fun to drive as our business car. It passed its MOT with flying colours in July this year nearly a year after it had been serviced. A really great service so we are just booking in for its second one. Thank you Andrew

ABsolutely first rate service, better than a main dealer , Andrew replaced my broken key (buttons falling apart) as part of the service, the main dealer up country wanted £60,
he's updated the soft ware, checked to make sure any factory recalls had been done.
Auto restart now working very well and so quiet, smartie is Running like new!

I took my 450 Cabby into Smart Automotive today for a B Service, MOT and Engine Management Fault. Andrew carried out a full and comprehensive service and guidance on the car. Much better care than my local Mercedes dealership which failed to return my service request call.
I would happily recommend Smart Automotive to all Smart owners.

We had a problem with the under side of out Smart Forfour and had to catch a plane. Andrew agreed to sort it out at a moments notice and replaced the part whilst we were away. If that wasn't enough, he made collection easy for us so that we could collect the car in the early hours of the morning on our way down. Great service- thanks Andrew.

Having been lucky enough, a few years ago,to have Andrew recommended to me for servicing my Smart(s) I have never had better, more personal nor such professional service from the numerous Smart and other car garages I have used through my long car ownership period, including Mercedes themselves.
Many modern companies suffer from the "swan" syndrome - looks lovely on the surface and out of sight all is frantic action to maintain forward motion!

My Roadster developed a fault where the central locking system refused to lock the doors and boot. It spent 4 days with Mercedes with two technicians and their state-of-the-art diagnostics only to tell me they couldn't find the fault. Although the SAM unit did not show any signs of corrosion or obvious faults they said a £500+ replacement was needed
Not convinced, I took the car to Andew here at Smart-Automotive and after much thought and testing he located the problem, which turned out to be an earth fault. This he corrected and I am delighted to say all the locks now work perfectly !
The big difference between Mercedes and Andrew is that they do things by the book, whereas he thinks out of the box and tackles a problem with thought and good common sense ! As he said to me, ".... With this problem I was on a mission..."
I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending his work. He is extremely competent, competitive in his prices and very pleasant to deal with. If Andrew can't fix your Smartie then no one can !!

I very recently had my 451 Brabus Fortwo re-mapped by Andrew, fantastic results I have to say, the performance has greatly improved with the higher bhp figure, which also comes with an impressive gain in overall torque throughout the range resulting in a less gear changes. From our very first Roadster through 2 x 450 Smarts both 600cc and 700cc all the way to our 451 cabriolet. All of which are serviced and re mapped by Andrew. We just wouldn't go anywhere else even bringing my sister in law down from Cardiff as I didn't trust anyone else to look after her car. Professionalism and attention to detail that borders on OCD levels of perfection. If you live in the South West or indeed anywhere in the country you will not find a better place to bring your Smart for any and all work.

Andrew Dennis has just sorted a complicated problem with my 2004 Smart Roadster. The car was immobilised and not responding to anything.It appeared to be a difficult and expensive thing to resolve according to the main dealer. However after talking to Andrew he offered to help with the problem. Andrew is very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to the complexities of the Smart car.
